You may not know it yet, but German public TV broadcasters are trying hard to produce new and relevant content for their streaming service.

The ARD-Mediathek is a gathering place for mostly German series, news, documentaries and feature films. Like with all streaming platforms, not every show is great. But there is a documentary series, that is worth mentioning. In "Wir, die Generation Z", a film crew accompanies teenagers from the Generation Z through their everyday life. The short episodes deal with exemplary topics, like....

1) Sixpacks, coming out and hijab
2) Thinness, dream girls and K-Pop
3) Sex, dick-pics and school stress

Young people aged 15-17 present not only themselves, but also their dreams and fears that accompany them in a world that seems to be ruled by social media.
For viewers of the Millennial generation, this documentary may be particularly interesting and will certainly stimulate reflection and spark discussions about the Generation Z.
