AN AFTERNOON OF ART AND LEISURE

Last Friday, the time had finally come: For one day, the classrooms of Transmitter turned into gallery spaces to celebrate our 11th birthday. We celebrated with a mix of art and getting together with former and current students, our team and friends.

A special thank you goes out to artists Julie Chovin, Dana Engfer, Mara Klein and Monica Levy, who have been part of exhibitions at Transmitter in the past and who we feel a close bond with (Julie and Monica are former students, Mara used to teach our Arts and Culture conversation course and other formats at the school, and Dana took the photographs on this website). Under the title "Dʰéǵʰōm - A story of earth and sea" they presented their most recent works, which offered visitors a mix of styles, moods and media. The exhibition was compelling for its well-rounded mix of lightness and simultaneous engagement with more serious themes.

We are very happy that the day was such a great success and that we had so many visitors. It showed us once again how much this place lives from the people who visit it, help to shape it, recommend it to others and remain loyal to us even after years. We are very grateful for this and are happy that we were able to welcome so many old and new faces.

Here are a few photos from the exhibition. If you would like to learn more about the art, we recommend visiting the websites of our great artists (links below). We hope to see you all soon!
