RECAP: NOVEMBER LANGUAGE EVENING AT MOKKABAR!

Last week we had our final Stammtisch/Language Evening of the year at Mokkabar, just down the road from Transmitter on Gneisenaustraße. We love holding these evenings, as it gives us time outside of class to get to know each other and to practise our speaking skills - in German and otherwise.

Not just for practising languages, our Language Evenings are a great way to share ideas and advice over a drink with your fellow students and teachers. Whether you’re new to Berlin or have been living here for a while, there’s always something new we can learn from one another.

The name ‘Stammtisch’ means ‘regular’s table’ in German - a tradition where a group of friends meet regularly at the same time, same table. Ours may not be as regular, but we love seeing familiar faces over and over again at these events!

As we’re heading into our winter break we won’t be holding any more Language Evenings for 2019, but stay tuned for more information about our Christmas party, to be held before we all leave for the holidays! If we don’t see you then, hopefully catch you at a Language Evening/Stammtisch in 2020!
