Dear Students and Friends,

2019 was a year full of surprises. Who would have thought that we’d end up in Kreuzberg? After we had finished shaking off the winter blues at the beginning of the year, a letter came flying in, taking us by surprise: we were informed by our landlord that the building at Allerstraße - where we spent the last six years - was bought by investors. As you can imagine, their main interest was not quite to support a small business like ours, but rather to milk the cow (to put it lightly), so they kicked us out and doubled the rent. This story must sound all too familiar, and we all know that this is common practice here in Berlin.

Unbelieving of what was happening, we were yet unable to grasp the aftermath of it. Strangely enough, the timing could not have been better for us as we had already been considering opening a new branch, since we were unable to accommodate the increasing number of student requests. However, it wasn’t our original plan to leave our well beloved Neuköllner space, but after a busy space-hunting marathon, we found our new home in our current space at Gneisenaustraße.

Lucky for us, we’ve got the best people on board. It makes us so happy to see that many of our students followed us along and stayed with us. As a small place struggling to get noticed amongst the jungle of start-ups and the overabundance of basically everything, doing what we are doing is only possible with the help of a real community.

To cut a long story short: we’d like to thank you for all of your support and loyalty. We couldn’t do this without you and we are really grateful for this opportunity to teach and learn with you.
We are excited to continue into 2020 with our team of qualified and caring teachers, who always have our students’ best interests at heart. Let’s wrap up 2019 with a bang and roll into 2020 in great style!
