Day 6 was the continuation of our exploration of the contemporary theater. We started off with some very interesting information about Rimini protocol and especially about their project "RemoteX". We discussed the different forms theater besides the "blackbox", e. g. audio tours, in urban space etc.
After that, we had a very exciting presentation about Pina Bausch and about the incorporation of elements such as singing and film to dance, as well as how she influenced many choreographers and dancers.
In this context, there was also a lively discussion about her stage design and the various elements and materials she integrated into her work. Her work has also inspired many artists, such as Almodovar who has always worked on relationships between people and whom Pina's "relationship work" has had a strong influence on.
The discussion was followed by a presentation about the life and work of Robert Wilson. His work is based on his development from architect to painter, until he finally arrived at the Theater.
Interesting quotes from day #6:
"His work is reminiscent of Kabuki Theatre"
"What's the difference between deaf, deaf and hard of hearing?"
